Tell us something about yourself
My name is Nida Nazir and I am 25 years old. I am a Law student, a makeup artist, and a designer. I did my schooling from Presentation Convent High School and currently, I am studying Law (last semester).
How did you join this field
I was a makeup freak since childhood. I would dig into my mother’s makeup kit and try everything on myself. I turned my passion into work and I absolutely love it!
Have you done any course related to makeup
Absolutely. I have done my makeup and hair course from Rathore makeup academy in Delhi. Also from Sakshi Urvashi in Delhi.
What services do you provide
I specialize in face makeup, hairstyling, jewellery setting, and dupatta draping.
Minimum charges for bridal makeup
Bridal packages start from 10k.
What products do you usually use?
I use Makeup Geek, Urban Decay, Kat Von D, M.A.C, Benefit cosmetics and many other high-end brands.
Do you offer trial makeup services?
Yes! I do offer paid makeup trials.
What if there is an emergency and you can’t make it to the wedding?
I always have backup plans. I won’t let any of my bride down. If I can’t make it to them, I’ll definitely send someone else.
What do you like best about your job?
The best thing about my job is that it’s my favorite thing to do and I never get bored of doing it. When you do what you love, that’s the most amazing thing to do! Alhumdulillah!
What do you like doing the most – hair styling, dupatta wrap, eye makeup, etc.
I love doing eye makeup because I love playing with colours. Apart from eyes, I love applying blush on my brides because that requires them to smile and that smile usually turns into laughter. What fun!
What’s one thing that you are very particular about regarding your job.
I am particular about almost everything. From having a good talk with my brides about what they have in mind and trying to figure out whether it’ll suit them or not, to planning a perfect look for them, keeping in mind their look.
The best compliment you have ever received regarding your work.
Well… Everyone loves my eye makeup. I always get compliments for that. Also, one more thing that I don’t transform people with makeup, I only enhance the features.

My favourite Kashmiri makeup artists are Ms. Saba Shafi and Ms. Seerat.

One tip you always give to the brides
Do CTM (Cleansing, toning, and moisturizing) routine religiously after their wedding date is fixed. A visit to a good dermatologist, not to step out without applying a good sunscreen and also a mild exercise for that extra glow, loads and loads of water and lastly inner peace. Those are the most important things!
